The Airports Security Force (Pakistan) (ASF) is important for the Aviation Division (Pakistan) and is liable for ensuring the air terminals and the offices and the planes (on-ground or in-air).

ASF shields the aeronautics business against unlawful obstructions, taking on counter psychological oppression measures, forestalling wrongdoing and keeping up with law inside the restrictions of Airports in Pakistan. The current Director General of ASF is Maj Gen Sohail Ahmad Khan (from Pakistan Army).

The ASF was set up in 1976 under the Airport Security Force Act LXXVII of 1975 at first as the Directorate of the Department of Civil Aviation. After the commandeering of a Pakistan International Airlines plane in March 1981, detecting the opposing prerequisites of safety and assistance, the ASF was isolated, and in December 1983, was set under the folds of the Ministry of Defense
