Customer Service Representative is needed at GE Appliances (GEA). In this position, you will be in charge of providing business-to-business (B2B) support by answering inbound calls, processing orders, and providing order status and price information.
What you intend to do
- Conducts data research and analysis to address operational challenges and customer service issues.
- Provides requested information to both external and internal customers.
- Tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting are all done using computerised systems.
- Responding to calls in a timely and accurate manner, explaining potential solutions, and ensuring that clients feel supported and valued.
- As needed, engaging in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing irate clients.
- Provide information to customers about product availability, delivery, billing, and financial processes.
- Requests for sales literature, product features, and specifications are processed.
What you will require to succeed Requirements:
- GED or high school diploma equivalent
- Self-motivated with an impeccable attendance record
- Strong computer skills, knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to manage multiple web-based applications at the same time are required.
- Outstanding interpersonal and oral communication abilities
- Must maintain a suitable work-from-home environment that is free of noise and distractions.
- Work schedule flexibility. Because there are multiple shift draws throughout the year, candidates must be available to work all shifts M-F between the hours of 7:30am and 8:30pm EST as needed.
IT Basic requirements:
- Reliable, high-speed internet access with a minimum download speed of 30mb – cable or fibre (NO dial-up, satellite or cellular hotspots)
- For user authentication, use a smartphone with Android OS or an iPhone (you will not be taking calls on your personal cell phone).
- Troubleshooting and restarting your router/modem (private internet)
- A minimum of one year of prior experience in a phone-based customer service role is required.
- Previous work-from-home experience
- Knowledge of GE Appliances models and features is a plus.
- The starting salary for this position is non-negotiable at $15.38/hr.
