CSR Initiatives of CIPET and Power Grid 2024

In a pioneering step towards social responsibility, Central Institute of Petrochemical Engineering and Technology (CIPET) has collaborated with Power Grid Corporation of India Limited to offer a six-month residential skill development program in the field of Plastics Engineering. The initiative aims to provide industry-relevant training and empower individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in the competitive job market.

CIPET, a prestigious institute under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, has been a pioneer in providing quality education and training in the field of Plastics Engineering and Technology. The collaboration with Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a leading power utility company, adds a new dimension to their commitment towards social responsibility.

CSR Initiatives of CIPET and Power Grid Program duration and courses offered

The six-month program, with a total of 960 hours, is designed to meet the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) Level-4. It includes various courses tailored to the needs of the industry. Some of the major courses include:

Machine Operator in Plastics Processing (MO-PP): A 40-hour course focused on the operation of machines involved in plastics processing.

Machine Operator in Injection Molding (MO-IM): A 40-hour course suitable for candidates with a minimum qualification of 10th class, offering specialization in injection molding machine operations.

Machine Operator in Plastics Extrusion (MO-PE): For individuals aged 18 to 28, this 40-hour course highlights the intricacies of plastics extrusion.

Machine Operator in Blow Molding (MO-BM): Entry requirement includes essential documents like mark sheet, caste certificate, income proof, residence proof, Aadhar card, passport size photographs and bank passbook.

CSR Initiatives of CIPET and Power Grid Application Process and Selection Criteria

Potential candidates can apply online through the official website www.cipet.gov.in or by sending their application through email to murhal@cipet.gov.in. The selection process will follow the guidelines of the Institute and will give priority to candidates on ‘first come, first served’ basis. Additionally, SC/ST category candidates will get age relaxation of 5 years, and OBC candidates will get 3 years relaxation.
